Crafted in heavy-duty padded canvas, it has excellent blow-absorbing properties when worn separately and provides superior protection from cuts when worn under chainmail or plate armor.     Material is nice and puffy but doesn’t seem overly stuffy. The lacing in the side allows for good airflow. The shoulders don’t have a lot of integrity but definitely enough to stay upright when walking around.
    The royal blue is a great, deep, and rich color.
    No frayed edges and loose threads.
    Overall, the gambeson was finished very well and will make for a great fancy garb piece.
    The seller was very communicative and reached out to verify measurements prior to shipping.
